I’m a psych major and we learn about these things called aces. They are events that alter a child’s brain chemistry. They can be as little as arguments or divorce to abuse and neglect. Basically all people are affected by aces at different levels. That’s why sometimes we have serial killers that come from a loving family. Everyone’s brain is different. It’s not an excuse no however it’s the cause. Realization is the first step, if he does eventually realize and does nothing to better himself, then he’s a bastard. Things take time. Especially since he’s not exposed to people teaching him otherwise.

Just because ur upbringing isn't ideal, it's ur responsibility and accountability to decide what kind of person u want to be. Sad background isn't an excuse, it's an understanding.
