That's the prince's aunt by blood, and the 2nd Best Mage is his cousin by blood, but the 1st Best Mage isn't his uncle by blood. His aunt and the FL's dad are Best friends, so they're adopted uncle and aunt, so to speak.
Besides, just because the 2nd best Mage is related to both the FL and the ML by blood, does not mean the FL and ML are related by blood at all. They can be aunt and uncle from maternal and paternal sides.
