I think it would not have been better because in this case, he would have grown into a father figure to her. Then if he had put pressure on her with this whole story, she would have chosen him out of love or fear to see him go mad.
The problem is ML behavior. Even if it's eat him inside, he should have not expressed jaelousy over simple opposite sex contact
I wish they didn’t tell her about her being the fated mate. It’d be nice if she grew up and chose him out of her own volition. But what they’re doing now is they keep repeating “fated partner”like almost ingraining it to her. She’s an abused victim so they shouldn’t have burdened her with this.
