like I said they gained respect for each other while fighting the spider. Everyone was hesitating out of fear but he stepped up which built overall morale. And even without that fight i think its pretty normal to worry about someone you think is going to die even if theyre just an acquaintance. And Sinclair was crying because she likes him more than a friend
