I'm getting whiplash, reading this. Is this even the same story? The same writer? The story was dark. The characters were immensely flawed and effed up. Now it's suddenly cutsie?! What happened? We're just supposed to forget that the MC was kidnapped, confined, and r*ped repeatedly? Now, it's suddenly all fine and they're happily in love??? Naw man. I need some REAL resolution! I need to see the ML get punished for what he did to the MC.
This cutsie, lovey dovey stuff, doesn't make sense for the story.
