So basically after Hyoseop goes into the gate he's escapes using the portal scroll and ends up in the Spanish country (dont remember the name). He stays in the country ends up staying with a family of three (a mom, her son and daughter), for like 6 or more months? He and Andante have NO CONTACT for these months whatsoever. Nobody knows where he is yet. He learns what being in a normal family feels like and he's adored by the other inhabitants in the village.
Now the boy in the family he's staying with turns out to be an esper and sends an application to the guild that the black haired guy is in (the one who has the guide with the pink-ish hair). The boy gets accepted and he ends up moving there to train while the mother, sister and Hyoseop stay back home.
While in the interview at the guild the boy accidentally let's it slip that Hyoseop lives with his mother and sister back home and the black haired guy ends up finding Hyoseop and offers him the deal to guide Andante back to health in exchange for joining his guide to protect him from Andante's obsession essentially.
Hope this helps

Andante was A MESS babes.. He continued going through those dungeons looking for Hyosoep with no sleep, he didn't eat, the dude basically was working on fumes. The toxins in his body built up so back to the point where he was in the hospital and they ended up chaining him down like in the recent chapter to force him to get guiding, from several guides at the same time even and that wasn't even enough. Hyoseop ended up accepting the deal unfortunately and the black haired dude made the fact that Hyoseop joined his guild and became his guide as public as possible(he kicked pink-ish haired guide to the curb). That way Andante wouldn't be able to make a move on Hyoseop without it turning into a huge scandal type thing, although Andante did not give a rats ass about that he was just trying to win Hyoseop over "properly", so that Hyoseop would know that his feelings were finally genuine. To answer the last question I personally feel like the black haired dude took advantage of the fact that Hyoseop wouldn't let Andante die knowing the kind of past Hyoseop has been through, and tried the screw Andante over knowing that he genuinely cares Hyoseop and didn't treat him as just a S-ranked guide. He wanted to flaunt the fact that he has a powerful guide that used to be with Andante in his guild.
And you're welcome for the explanations feel free to ask anytime

before this is scrolled down the comments til page 10 and nobody was giving spoilers so this was super helpful! i actually kinda like that the chasing arc was dragging out because so many dont even bother flashing out one that lasted more than 5 chapters, its either we went to the past to find the seme had abusive home or just plain ol getting punched and crying once when the uke was suffering for like 50 chapters before (im looking at u unfinished business) so andante being a mess and actually fighting to get hyoseop back after his big mess up was fun! and black haired dude doing what an annoying cockblocker villain is supposed to be doing i guess lol sucks that they cut down so many scenes tho, hyoseop getting to connect with the family could be very moving for him
i saw people going this way cut from the novel, it wasn't this short. but can someone please spoiler what scenes was cut??? inquiring minds wanna know
