Taking my break at Chapter 76..

Isis's true intentions are puzzling me.
I also like that Ra showed up to the judgement and made sure Seth's punishment wasn't reduced. Sure based on the comments and some of the faces he's shown, he seems like he'll become a fan favourite. But that doesn't erase all the innocent people he killed over the years and all the crimes he committed. I was starting to hate that it looked like he could just be easily redeemed just because he's a "main character". I'm glad he has to work for his redemption.

Also...is this story made out to be there's no "good" guys or "bad" guys? Because sure Seth has committed all those crimes but they're showing him as someone still with humanity...that's the best can word that lol.
Then there's Isis, although she wants to protect people and she seems to care for Horus...she still would do anything to get revenge on Seth (even though her anger should really be mainly directed towards Osiris)
Then there's Horus...he seems like the "true main character" but yet...because of the same unhealthy obsession his dad has for Seth, one he seems to share...he wants to ignore all the bad Seth has done to keep Seth by his side..all while doing whatever it takes to protect Seth.
And to add onto that...this non consented sex between him and Seth makes him seem no different than Osiris...


So those are a few things that got me thinking on whether they're "good" or "bad" guys in this story

All the characters are just bad people that sometimes do good things

Chapter 123...I was wayyyy off. Or maybe there was a vision but not the same vision the author had...

So basically I'll have to keep reading about Seth being assaulted/sexually harassed and raped over and over again no more how many times I try to skip those kinds of chapters..

Also is he even trying to atone for his sins or is he only feeling guilty because of the curse

Trust me the rape chapters are there only upto mid s2 and his character development arc will creep upto u soon..its not blatantly overnight but we can see it happen gradually. He genuinely wants to atone fot his sins and he feels guilty for doing wrong but before his redemption he also has to acknowledge the evils that were done to him by osiris which he had been desperately trying to suppress n thug it out. Its actually really plot heavy esp the moon temple arc and rn as we are approaching end of s2 so I'd say youre really in for big plot twists. And as u said there really ismt a good guy bad guy character in ennead. They are omnipresent gods complete infinite personification of entities by themselves writing them as benevolent impartial layered complex characters was really peak. Also regarding horus trust me he didnt want to rape seth. It happened against his will and he's very much a victim here. Firstly seth had come to rape him and even tho the reverse happened, horus was under the influence of hathors mirror

I didn't expect Seth to change over night but these earlier chapters were making it seem like he doesn't actually have any plans of atonement, just the guilt that sometimes eats him up because of the judgement placed on him.
Also that comment regarding Horus! I knew that was the mirror...but the chapter I'm talking about is around 73? 76? I don't recall but it was after the trials had ended. There was a sex scene of Horus and Seth and it seemed so random....or maybe not too random but as I'm thinking back at it now it seemed more like a side scene/bonus content...It was Horus having sex with Seth and saying it's his punishment. Was that also from the mirror?

Ohh thaaaat. Dw its fanservice content author made. Its not part of canon ennead and horus is clingy and always up in Seth's personal space but he never rapes him in the story after the mirror ch. There is also a R15 version of emnead on bato which is more fluffier n intimate and focuses on horuseth panels more than R18 here

I went back to re read incase I was wrong and i can reaffirm my answer now. Its special bonus chapter and not part of the story. Horus wont be doing SA anymore. If u wish I can give u future SA warnings

Now that I'm caught up with the chapters...I regret reading this so quietly...
This is definitely a story I'm attached to and will be sad when it ends
I thought over 200 meant it was near ending so I started reading this in confidence of not having to wait long for chapters....but now....it feels like we've just reached chapter 200 and the story is only now making progress Like sure...we've seen them come all this way and visit all these temples but that just felt like build up. Something still needs to happen with Oirsis, Isis is still trying to figure out why she can't be happy despite everything being "over", she's also trying to save Anubis and his mom, the same Anubis who now has an obsession with Seth. Cause I know Maat told Seth to be careful because Oirsis's sun is just like him...I too thought of Horus immediately due to the earlier chapter of the "punishment sex" scene....but when she reminded Seth Oirsis has two sons....it became obvious she was talking about Anubis. Sure Horus is in love with Seth but Anubis is the one whos obsessed due to the curse. Which is similar to Oirsis's obsession. Moving on from Anubis...there's still more to Ra's story regarding Oirsis and the war but maybe that won't take long and can be easily explained, There's Hathor and her now obsession with Horus...(sheesh why is everyone obsessed in this story). And then there's the whole reboot/restart/reset thing Thoth mentioned...there's still so much to go...and noe that I'm caught up I have to suffer through waiting for more chapters....

Anyway I forgot his name sorry but Furball...I genuinely can't tell whether or not he raped Seth cause Seth seemed to accept it along the way after Furball explained it was some kind of healing? I didn't really understand but Seth wasn't as repulsed as usual so I didn't pay any mind to it...
Still I love that character but it's disappointing he that to Seth Cause in a way it still felt like rape to me. Honestly it probably just felt as though Seth accepted it because of how many times this story has shown him being raped...like at this point he's just coming to terms with it.
Everything Furball does something to make me like his character and his comedic side I remember what happened between him and Seth and it's like "ouu...yeah...that happened....now idk.."

Also I'm glad to discover that punishment sex scene was just a bonus scene because it lowkey felt out of character for Horus. Especially now that I've read everything and seem even more of his caring personality.

Another thing...idk why but it feels like Oirsis won't get a punishment he deserves other than Seth never loving him/forgiving him. Atp it feels like all the Gods know Oirsis is shady/can't be trusted yet they continue to listen to him and work with him. This is why I prefer my stories where there's a clear good guy and bad guy It makes the story really seem like fiction and not like reality where these are genuine ways human would behave.

Maat and Thoth knowing the future/prophecies and can't interfere seems fair because then they would be going against.. yk...their divine meaning or whatever...but idk what's everyone else's excuse

Youre absolutely correct. After 200 chapters are still approaching end of season 2 and there's gonna be season 3 too!!! So buckle up youre in for a some serious shit. Theres a lot of unpacking thats gonna happen. S2 was a buildup for upcoming plot twists and i believe the stage has been set properly. Im caught up with raws and upcoming chapters are gonna boggle your mind more. Isis character development is satisfying. I went from hating her to sympathizing her you see. The reason she cant find peace is because she cursed herself to never find peace. Her torment is her own bringing and she needs to unravel and faces the threads of reality and her own feelings inorder to find peace.. oh god I could really go into detail abt this but im afraid it'll be a long rant ill try to be concise. But you see isis was tricked by osiris into marrying him and she really deeply loved him and we were shown how she wanted to dissolve seths soul so that osiris wont have him which we assumed she wanted because she was being jealous of seth being chosen by osiris and not her which is partly true but going deeper after the shock and hatred is scrapped away deep down she lover her sibling seth and what really really hurt her was that seth confronted osiris on his own. She wanted seth to come to her so that they could plan something together. She felt bad for seth who fell into osiris trap and was raped by him( yea she knows osiris is evil because she witnessed everything unfold infront of her n was frozen shocked plus when she heard nephyths too cheated on seth with osiris she broke down. She really loves her siblings deeply and seeing both seth n nephyths choosing to suffer instd of coming to her made her lost all bearings and reasonings + blind love n anguish+ hate for osiris who betrayed her n broke their perfect happy family.. anyway she still battles her inner demons and faces things and will collect her bearings hopefully. Isis is really important for future events.

When thoth n mat said abt osiris 2 sons we too speculated its about anubis. He didnt have that many screen time in s2 and he's a vessel prepared by osiris all this time so we are prepared to see his move. We just hope they can free him from osiris and help him osiris botched his memories which is why he doesnt remember seth as his father and what affinity he feels towards him anubis is mistaking that. Hathor isnt obessed with horus. Shes the goddess of love. Shes obessed with the idea of being in love which is kinda ironic and pitiful as being the goddess of love she's never successful in obtaining it. [Theory alert]

Osiris and Ra are definitely working their part in shadows and like I said the stage is set and we will see in motion all the things unfold one by one. Osiris stole the throne from Ra and there are theories predicting thats not all there is to it. Theres more stuff that we dont know between ra and osiris. Im talking abt wadjet and the Supreme divine sovereignty that was stolen (also goes acc to actual myth) and about thoth mats prophecies. This is a huge topic in itself. There are theories about horus the elder and all of ennead siblings past life before becoming gods which many of us feel like what was talked by mat n thoth as they both have been existing wayy longer esp thoth whos the moon diety and moon has seen everything on this planet. I can tell u more about horus the elder and ennead past life theories based on actual hieroglyphics prediction (the murals u saw in some background in ennead are not just designs but actually translate-able and put purposely by mojito)

Furball is actually a very famoos greek god which erm you'd be able to guess very soon cuz his personality is very infamous haha. His identity wasnt clear all this time n we use to call him FG. and YOUR HATE TOWARDS HIM IS VALID. AFTER OSIRIS I HATE HIM TOO. HES A RAPIST. HE LITERALLY SEES SETH AS A SEX SLAVE AN OBJECT TO OWN AND NEVER FAILS TO MENTION THAT. HE has fans here sighhh who I feel forget his crimes because of his comedic relief presence but he literally had no reaosn to rape seth. So dw. Hopefully osiris will face his downfall but its gonna take time he's so fcking crafty and master villain +evil that hes even way ahead than sekhmet ugh. Im delighted that u acknowledge and caught on the true essence of ennead which makes its a unique story among korean bl manhwas and a huge chunk of readers fail to grasp that. They come here with the human pov lense and are disgusted+ disappointed when characters who -mind u are literally gods do not fit their white black grey boxes. Apart from osiris furball I dont consider anyone on white side or black side here. Theyre all morally grey and beautifully written esp for Egyptian mythology nerds and ppl who enjoy character sketch analysis

And usually when that happens I don't have anyone to rant/go on about them with so I thought I'd just share my thoughts here No ones obligated to read them and and if they're interested they can follow the topic lol

I didn't read all of what you said cause I started realising there were some spoilers
BUT, yes!! I remember Seth's sister/God of destruction old Isis that the reason she isn't satisfied/happy even though everything has ended is because she cursed herself!
Also does that mean Isis had the same fate as Seth's wife? (Sorry don't remember the spelling of her name and I'm afraid of butchering it ) Because I know it was revealed the whole reason she switched up on Seth despite genuinely loving him was because she found the mirror Osiris gave to Seth.

Also quick side note:
Isn't that funny how fate works. Both times Seth and Horus were given the mirror so that they could be forced into loving someone but neither times did it work/go according to plan.
Seth didn't care for Osiris's gifts so he tossed the mirror aside causing Seth's wife to find it instead
Then Horus looked into the mirror and saw Seth instead of Hathor when Seth took the mirror from her.
So basically they're meant to be and any other ending deserves a riot ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ

Also yeah I get that is the Goddess of Love but...it doesn't have to be Horus...that's why I assumed it's Horus she's obsessed with. She can find love anywhere despite struggling to find it lol. She specifically chose Horus either because of her mother (Ra) wanted to rule all of Egypt or herself wanting to rule...but the latter doesn't make sense when all she truly wants is love. That's why I assumed it's Horus she's obsessed with rather than just love itself...I mean it could be both. She does desperately want to be in love/find love but again...it doesn't have to be Horus so it's strange that she's clinging to him so desperately

Also yeah I didn't speculate Seth liked him but it seemed like he just didn't mind it...he didn't trust FG but he didn't exactly see him as a bad person so he just let it happen. And with everything that happened, even with Osiris, and the fact that we can tell Seth is extremely insecure thanks to Osiris's manipulation, in that moment with FG he probably felt like he deserved whatever bad thing happens to him.

And honestly a personal side note, due to my beliefs and religion I don't WANT him to go through these things just because he caused them to happen to other people. Sure he should be punished but because he's genuinely trying to redeem himself and we can see he has a good heart, he doesn't deserve it...ANY of it. On the other hand...Osiris...refuses to take responsibility and accountability and will stop at nothing just so that Seth loves him back. He has no good in his heart, he does deserve punishment and judgement from the Gods and I HOPE it's a strong punishment. Especially because Ra is involved and he basically cheated against Ra during the war or something along the lines. And the mirror he freaking stole that started this entire mess.

You're VERY right with that last bit. Everyone in this story does not fit our black and white standards EXCEPT Osiris. Bro is pure evil.

Also knowing Seth won't forgive him is reassuring. I've read so many stories where the "bad guy" is forgiven just because the main character has a good heart.
Like dude...sure let the main character forgive him but at least show the readers the bad guy getting the punishment they deserve afterwards.

For example, Blood Bank is a story that I also felt this passionate with but I didn't write about it because I was way younger so I wasn't really into letting people know lol. Still...while reading blood bank I remember I'd have to stop at some chapters and wait...to the point that when I visited my grandma (and I NEVER read BL stories around her because........yeah.....I feel like it's self explanatory, but i love her, she loves her grandkids and her children) I literally continued reading Blood Bank on the living room couch. I was just SO hooked.

He only pretended to necause he wanted the throne of egypt which rightfully belonged to isis. So he married her n got the throne easily.
