Yeah my exact same thoughts
I really think the author was overwhelmed and had not planned ahead because it was meant to be one season aka a short story.
Remember the author's note after season 1? They had all these plans and I genuinely think they wanted to do better but ultimately this suffered from bad writing and rushed and quickly abandoned plot ideas.
It's a shame because I liked the art and characters....
So I just read the final chapter and I'm beyond angry, frustrated and sad how the author ruined a good Manhwa.
I still have a soft spot for this series (I mean it's my profile picture after all) but the entire setup for season 2 which could've been so much deeper, thrilling and interesting was just thrown out the window for some sex scenes and teasing that led nowhere!
Questions left unasked, a social phobia mostly cured off screen like what was the point even? and what about the pink haired dude? Why even have him in the story? He did nothing, like seriously nothing but propose that drug deal to Mc and tease.
There was huge potential for this like the background of perm hair, why he disappeared and what happened in that year but instead of talking, we get another short sex scene.
He came back after ghosting Mc for a year, tells him his "real" name and he's like "yeah that checks out"? Wtf?
I didn't need drama or anything big but a talk would've been nice, the ending felt so rushed.
This was supposed to be a short story and I think it should've stayed that way, I don't think the author planned ahead writing this and just went with it after being green lit for a second season. That's why nothing feels like it connects or builts upon something.
The first season was so good!! And besides the rape, it was really interesting to see their relationship develop.
