I love him as a character personally, ceasar had grown up to be treated like an animal, he doesn’t understand any human sense BC of the way he was raised and no one taught him that. Yes 100% he’s a rapist but I think of it he doesn’t know and understand any other way to express him feeling and he drinks and have sex and Ignore the issue, doing things that he thinks is right and ok but it’s not. Like when Lee won got shot ceasar was taught to do wtv he need to get what he wanted, he is not in a normal state of mind at all. But he grows with Lee won and learns from him.
I totally agree that someone raised in an environment like ceasar could only turn out as a broken adult. he was doomed from the start. but there are many other characters that grow from this but i just cant see him really grow that much. if anything he gets worse as time and his love for lee won grows. after raping leewon for the first time, it shouldve been the end of it but he goes and does it again. you cant justify the actions of someone just because the way they were raised, people can always change and its leewon that bairs the consequences.
I love him nevertheless with all his flaws, with all his dramatic af things he did to keep Lee Won. My delulu self convince myself I could take him
honestly you can try to read between the lines to squeeze a bit of character development from him but its useless. such great romantic/sexual tension in the beginning wasted on a rapist and controlling character. not an ounce of remorse and growth.
