Yeah but it could also be the most realistic one of all. People born and raised in abusive environment tend to accept that as their reality and consider it ‘normal’ for them. But since the MC was not originally abused, he is able to tell that the ML is sick in the head and this situation is not normal. BUT, humans are extremely adaptive to their environment for survival. Should the ML play his cards well, he could give the MC random affections or short bursts of love bombing and tie it to the MC’s behavior, then the MC will be cooked he will get confused, try to make sense of what makes him act less violent, and really appease the abuser in order to survive because he will tie his behavior to the abuser’s actions and ultimately condition himself around the ML’s mood. I forgot since I read it a while ago, but should the ML completely isolate MC, making him 100% dependent on him, starving him of human connection, all 5 senses and any sensations, disturbing his sense of time, just a single gesture of affection could throw off MC’s sense of what is right or wrong into oblivion and effectively develop a Stockholm syndrome!
But fortunately, this ML seems too dumb to pull that off Bitch is just violent and retarded.
Damn if I unluckily transmigrate into this manhwa, I would like to play a psychological game with him xD or if that don’t work, incapacitate him when he let’s his guard down and subject him to the cruelest torture known to mankind to see if the pain would change something in him.
This story’s kinda interesting
It’s not your everyday to have this twisted psychopathic seme and a normal person under abuse portrayed realistically. I hope It will stay realistic to the end no matter which ending it chooses. I can see two viable options as an ending, the uke learning helplessness, mentally breaks down, maybe develop stockholm syndrome to please the abuser so he will be tortured less, or the uke loosing his mind from all the abuse and either try to murder the abuser or himself.
I read somewhere in spoiler, that the uke somehow fails to suicide and ends up with amnesia. That’s interesting as well, as the brain does erase the memories of the traumatic event in order to cope.
He could develop various mental illnesses to cope with as well.
but this story is definitely harmful for susceptible young readers, ppl affected by abuse or other mental illnesses though. This could be triggering for them.
