Yes it is similar to that and a huge conflict (fight?) will happen before they finally get together by the ending. Hopefully thats not much of a spoiler. Honeymoon phase on the sides stories on the novel
Unlike lost in the clouds we didn't get any side stories nor bed scene though I'm still coping
