Does anyone knows why the og author stopped his work?

It's the same author, it's just that they had trouble with their publishing company at the time (I don't exactly remember what happened, I totally forgot) which made it so that they couldn't continue working with them but ALSO couldn't publish Black Haze anywhere else. Meanwhile the author published another work before continuing Black Haze, which also took a few years, and now it's finally being published by K*kao, but it was necessary (probably required by K*kao, for obvious reasons) to do a remake instead of continuing from where it stopped, and here we are

If I remember correctly (it was so many years ago lol) the original site this was being uploaded was shutting down (Foxtoon something, I forgot the name). The author fought for the rights of the manhwa so they can move and continue the story elsewhere. But they never allowed it. I guess it had something to do with the contract and exclusivity so they cannot move, cannot upload any chapters or continue it elsewhere. So the fact that the author can remake it with the same title and same story today probably has something to do with the contract finally expiring.
