To be fair, Igarashi's in a socially awkward situation, being on the bottom rung of the Japanese pecking order at his job and feels he has to kowtow to the beck and call of his superiors. Plus, he's just an all-around nice guy and would never consider being rude to a woman he doesn't know.
Yeah I know, I just wish he would say up front that he has a girlfried so that the other girl would slightly back off (〜￣△￣)〜 though then again I also know that he's thick headed
