The oldest psycho brother uses the queen to do some sort of sacrificial magic that kills one person to teleport another. So Ruby's second brother is killed in order to send Ruby's to her oldest brother.

Ruby is important to her, but she's known Freya since childhood. Would you immediately question your friend, accusing them of tormenting an innocent girl? After what she went through with her mother, she didn't want to lose another person. She lived in denial, and that's a fact, but it's not strange after everything she's been through.
