Yeah but it's not fine in either cases nor in other stories nor in this one he kept parading himself on how he's not gonna hurt them and just wants to open that vault and everyone is fine but he still ended up hurting them in the worst way possible didn't he, ended up being just like his father. He doesn't get to have a happy ending after that, in my opinion him rotting in a cell for what he did having to live the rest of his life thinking abt what he could have done different and where he would have been now if he didn't do half of the fucked up shit he did is the most fitting fate for him.

He isn't like his father this is an exaggeration, also his father raced a ot of people and filled them without consent, he raped the seme out of trauma if he was never raped before when he was small he wouldn't have such trauma and issues with men bottoming , even in court irl if someone is not in the right state if mind they take this into consideration .

And on another not a lot of characters have a redemption arc why be so negative and not leave hope for him to develop cus what I saw at the end was not his arrogance he was humble in the court and didn't Wana get less sentence,

I don't Wana judge u but if u read dark story's in the yaoi genre u will know that he did nothing but if what u usually read isn't heavy then maybe this will seem too much , for me just the fact that no one got theyr hand cut no one died means nothing happened and that he didn't do anything that big compared to the other stuff I usually read

I didn't say he deserved the worst punishment as I said i feel like him ending up in jail is the deserved punishment not the worst one he could have ended up worse so after all he did he just gets to spent his life in jail thinking abt his wrong doings that's suitable enough for the gravity of his actions and he did unfortunately end up like his father him doing it out of a trauma response does not excuse him literally raping the poor guy he still did it for control he still did it to make himself feel better bc he was in a weak moment and felt inferior so to prove his superiority bc he got triggered by the blonde guy he decided to rape him so no amount of trauma will excuse that only explain it, he had a choice and he choose to be like his father just bc he didn't rape as many people as his father that doesn't make him less bad he still decided to do the exact thing his father did to him to an innocent person that mind u even tried to help him right before he did what he did to him and even he as you said understands there's no forgiveness for what he did as he ended up acting like the man that ruined his life too so to me it's fair and realistic how he ended up bc sometimes people don't get to be redeemed since they can't even forgive themselves for what they did let alone expect the people they hurt to give them a secomd chance

And also wanted to add that in court what you are referring to only happens when the guilty is proved of insanity not when they had a mental breakdown and did a crime they only take that into consideration if said person has severe mental disorders hence the insanity that makes them act beyong their own control like bipolar disorder or even schizophrenia he wasn't insane he only had ptsd and ptsd does influence ur mental state but not ur choices that was his own rational thinking

I do in fact read dark bl and media in general but I learned to not be desensitised to it bc at the end of the day just bc nobody died or got mutilated that doesn't make the stuff that did happen nothing that's the problem with a lot of dark media readers unfortunately they just ignore the gravity of a lot of things just bc death didn't occur, this bl was not even close to the worst of the worst i have read i gotta say the way the rape scene was portrayed i found it to be the most accurate representation of rape in bl that i read in a while i genuinely enjoyed the way trauma was portrayed in this work but what i will not do is just ignore a character's wrong doings and hope for a redemption arc when he clearly isn't even close to deserving it yet it's sad but yes just bc u are traumatised that doesn't give u the privilege of redemption u gotta earn it not thru pity of ur past but thru hard work
