Sexual: lack of mutual consent + when one character continuously says “no” “wait” “don’t” yet the other keeps going anyways or even worse says the other character’s body says something else (this is not hot at all) + lack of kisses
Non-sexual: when main characters can’t communicate properly for the life of them for 20+ chapters

Yeah! I totally get you and agree. I imagine that both tropes to an extensions are re-imaginings of the "predator and prey" trope in heterosexual media where the "woman" (bottom) must deny their (sexual) urges, lest they lose their value. For what its worth, when I *don't* have to read stories with that trope, it makes it so much better and more refreshing! ( ̄∇ ̄")
Thanks for your response!

While I can agree that male beauty can come in all shapes and sizes, when its a super popular trope like that with no variation, I can't help but wonder what the motivation of it all is, too. I can see wanting to appeal to a large group of people with the character designs, from people who want a really buff top or a smaller framed bottom in certain scenes, but I do agree that variety is the spice of life! I think readers like ourselves wanting to see something different from that can be a really good opportunity for more diverse stories to be told and be successful. Thank you for your response!

I totally agree! One, maybe two chapters at most for sure, good writing shouldn't rely on any more, specifically for this medium. One of my favorite Manga is Orange and the second to last chapter had so much impact including a perspective from a different character than the main narrative. Its a tool for a writers toolbox, for sure, but I'm not sure if its the best when over extended. Thanks for your response!

For sure, like TTATT
As someone who's been sexually active for a long time, I think that authors should definitely take the time to allow the characters to enjoy the journey more while we readers get to enjoy too! Not having foreplay in a session of sex in a story can assume things about motivation between characters, but normalizing a lack of it is definitely a feels bad moment.
My first question!
As the title says, just a fun question for anyone to answer. What's a stereotype or trope or common thing in yaoi/mlm webtoons that yuggs you out? No yumming anyone's yuck, please, full respect all around!
Posting this question because I was talking to a friend who also enjoys explicit graphic novels and we both agree that the sound effect "SQUELCH" is just aaahhh hahaha so yuggy, that we joke to each other now by saying "But Does It Squelch??" Hahaha please share with me yours! (▰˘◡˘▰)
