Did i miss something? Why are people hating on the mc?

Ppl are too used to the broke, innocent, uke who is sweet and pure as the driven snow lol. They can’t handle complex characters. Sometimes ppl fall for toxic men/women, or have sex with multiple people, etc… people are messy, that’s part of why I like this story. It feels very raw and realistic
