I understand she wanted to be free of pretending to be a prince but he went about it the wrong way and even brought her in as his wife without talking about it before hand, he ripped away her whole life in a single chapter. I’m trying not to be bias but it was a very forceful method. I’ll keep reading with the mindset they will divorce and he makes it up to her.
He tried to save her (from her mom's assassination and the death penalty for deceiving the king) and set her free at the same time, which would be no easy feat. But he should have talked to her first and get her consent.
