it's not necessary to read kml again, you just need to know Josh is the one who helps Yeonwoo when he escapes (when he found out he's pregnant) and I think this story is in the same timeline but Chase doesn't appear at all in kml, just in a panel and that's all lmao. here Yeonwoo appears but not a lot, same with Keith, you should read it, it's so much better than kml, I also recommend you to read the novels, they're better too (the manhwas are good but they cut off a lot of things)

Okay yeah I remember better now. Josh is the red haired dude's friend. I forgot his name oof, despite liking him so much. He had such an impact on me because I was rooting for Yeonwop to end up with the red haired dude. I just can't remember how Josh and Yeonwoo became such good friends. I think they met at a party after Yeonwoo was already pregnant or something.

Sorry, that pair was set in stone from the start. Grayson's story was the first the author came up with, it just took 10 years before she released it.lol And she spoilt the pairing years ago. I remeber the reaction here, when a few years ago (KML main story fan translation was still uplaoded then) someone dropped the bomb.XD
So the author never intented to kill him off.
And Chase doesn't really want to kill Grayson, and even if he wnted to, he is no match for Grayson. And now there is Dane too.
And serioulsy, Grayson grew on most who read his story. He is a hilarious crazy guy, and Dane and him actually make a really good crazy chaotic couple.
If you read it, possible that you still hate him, possible you won't.
Just be aware that some who hated him started to like him, so you never know. There was recently someone here in the comments were it was the case.
And to be clear, no one forgot the insane shit he pulled in the past.

Does he ever get like a redemption arc or is there a reason why he does the shit he does? One thing I hated about KML was that Keith never had a groveling phase or redemption arc. He never even felt sorry for all the shit he did. Yeonwoo lost his memory and he realized he did shitty things but never truly was apologetic for it.

With Grayson you have the problem that doesn't understand if hurt someones feelings and if his way of helping is harmful, because he has problems recognizing and understanding emotions. Since he was born manifested he has several probelms. Some things he does, you really think he is crazy/ insane. He also sees some situation in a different way than others.

He at some point understands that he hurt others, especially Chase. He apologized to everyone he has hurt, even gives them compensation if they have a wish . 2 person we saw at the beginnning + Naomi + the one for Chase (he doesn't believe him, but Grayson won't give up) the author showed us.
He is also the only one who is willig to leave, being afraid he'd hurt Dane.
You also saw him groveling for Dane affection.
Dane has a massive family related trauma.

The web novel ran from Febuary to May, ~two weeks after it was finished the author released Extra 1. Later this or next Year, Extra 2 wil be released, should be longer than Extra 1. And you actually need to read Extra 1 to see more of Dane's feeling for Grayson, what he thinks, he was an extremely hard nut to break in the main story, because of his trauma.
You mentioned shipping him with Yeonwoo. It wouldn't have worked with Dane, I can't imagined that. The mentioned trauma would have been in the way for any potential relationship (which for Dane even wouldn't have been potential. He was dead set on that).
Dane and Grayson actually are a pretty good match. One of the reasons is probably that both are crazy and accept the other's craziness.lol
I can't remember these two from Kiss Me Liar at all. And I DO NOT want to go and read that abomination again. Do I have to read that again to understand this better? Is this set before KML or after? I think Pete was shown at the end of KML sides with Spencer but I seriously can't remember Chase or Josh right now. I remember that red haired dude tho. Idk if he is in this one but he was so fineeee. I think there is a novel for him too, but that's besides the point. I wanna read this because people told me it's better than KML and that the uke isn't a pushover like the uke from KML. So please let me know if I should start this or not, or if I have to read KML again (⊙…⊙ )
