People are so used to being spoonfed bls without actual real conflicts like internalized homophobia and coming out, or struggles w anxiety and overcoming your trauma, that the moment a character shows flaws or even a little bit of insecurities, they jump on them omfg
Fr like god forbid he's scared of homophobia a real and perfectly valid thing to be scared of that's ruined countless lives and even gotten people killed god forbid he doesn't wanna be looked at like a virus or freak on the public stage like he's not some random guy he's literally famous he was on the news over a misunderstanding its perfectly reasonable for him to be terrified especially with this being his first relationship and him being just 20 and this comment section is a reaction every time I see a story that even on a surface level acknowledges the real threat of homophobia and the subsequent fear that comes with possibly experiencing it and its how I know some of these people aren't gay because if they were they'd know it's terrifying I'm very sick of comment sections dragging a character for being a human person who happened to make a bad decision the annoyance this comment section gave me is up there with some of the abuse apologism I see on here constantly
Are y'all really complaining that this abuse survivor traumatized queer boy makes bad decisions in his first relationship are y'all really calling him stupid for being a human person with emotions fr I think many of y'all have forgotten that homophobia ruins lives and have also subsequently forgotten that people have like flaws and stories require conflict if you wanted a simple fluff story with no conflict no motivations and character flaws more comolex than "says mean thing once" and no real plot beyond making you smile and feel good go read a one shot god forbid a traumatized person be traumatized in these stories jeez also pro tip if you really can't handle three chapters of conflict go look up the raws or look up when the story ends this comic only has 51 chapters (excluding the sside stories)
