Hm... I think it's to not make people angry. Like it or not, if the artist made it exactly like the novel, it would make everyone angry and attack the staff of the series.

Felt the same cuz I’m literally Arab American myself. But I then i also thought that it’s their artstyle and maybe they like -.. actually man idk . Kinda feels like they just slapped on a beard and made the skin tanner. Sigh wtv I guess idk
ok so, i tossed this aside cuz I've been reading the novel, the artist made him look like a korean/chinese typpa asian, he is arabic(im not sure) so I was expecting something like a arabic features, idk if i like it or not. u guys just liked his appearance bcs the artist made him look like the other characters like taeui who is literally korean, to sum it up rahman looks like korean, he doesnt look like a bit of an arab.....for me. idk, ig i expected too much
