The dad used to beat and rape the adopted bro when he was a teenager, and f'ed up his entire life. Every time he SA'd him, he would take pictures and the bro as he did it, and he put all of those pictures and tapes in the vault, He also used these is blackmail to force adopted bro into becoming a mafioso, and do the dirty work no one else would, or ears he'd leak the pictures in tape.
To make it even creepier, it's like implied that the dad only adopted him because he was lusting after him ever since he saw him in passing when he was fighting off some bullies behind his high school, but afopted bro didnt know that at first, he was just happy and grateful to have a parent again and siblings after losing both of his. That of course went out the window when the dad started beating and SA'ing him though.
In addition, his dad's abuse continued into adulthood, where hed SA and beat the adopted bro anytime he messed up or didnt obay his orders, all the way until the day he died.
The MC didn't know about this since he was still a little kid when it started, and the dad actually treated his blood related kids right, and only abused the adopted bro, but he was still horrified to find iut his dad was a pedo.
Adopted bro despised MC cause he looks just like the dad. Mafia Bro is on a suicide run, to get rid of all the pictures and tapes the dad took of him being assaulted, and then offing himself to end it all.

Both have been victims since childhood, and were assaulted by a once trusted family member, and their suffering continued into adulthood. But both guys turned out very different, and coped differently as well.
Omg I had a feeling this was the case!!! Especially after he got panick attacks. :( this actually makes me so sad. That’s so disgusting and awful. Does he actually end up killing himself? Or just attempt to? T-T it would be tragic for him to die after finding out about all of that. :(

He attempts to kill himself, but blonde stops him before he can shoot himself. The adopted bro gets arrested by the police. Blondie goes to court against adopted bro for kidnapping and assaulting him, and bro looks half dead inside for the whole court session. At the trial, adopted bro admits he's on perscribed psychiatric drugs for something, and hadn't been taking them for a while when he started the whole vault stuff (so dude was literally off of his meds), but wouldn't say why he was prescribed these drugs, and also wouldn't mention anything about being SA'ed becuase he didn't want anyone to know that happened to him. The court thinks the book the MC burned was burnt by adopted bro, and that it had evidence that would prove him red handed in a crime. And because he didn't mention anything about the dad blackmailing him or threatening him, he was considered an accomplis.
Adopted bro doesn't seem to be really trying to argue against being sentenced, and literally is dressed in like the stereotypical "depressed person in a movie" outfit, and looks dead inside.
Blonde says at the end that he's basically tired of rapist lording over his life and others, and that he finally gathered the courage to talk about these issues so that the perpetrator can be properly punished. And looks at the bro, as he says it's a way to move foward instead of being trapped in trauma, and gives him a look to let him know he needs to do something so he doesn't wallow in his trauma, and to not let it define who he is.
In the end, adopted bro said he was guilty on all charges, and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
DAYUM. I’m glad he didn’t kill himself. I do think it sucks that he was put in prison for 20 years (not to say the stuff he did wasnt bad and there shouldn’t be repercussions) but all of this genuinely wouldn’t have happened if the dad didn’t adopt him :(. He was a victim and not only did the dad abuse and SA him he made him do dirty work too. Im also sure blond understands him and can sympathize with him too because of their SA history.
