Yeah like okay you can hate someone but that doesn’t mean you can abuse them. I wouldn’t go and hurt someone i hate, especially when they essentially has done nothing to me except existing. That would justify all the crimes in this world. They were just horrible people if hatred results in harmful actions.

I guess you can say so but Camilla’s parents exhibit two separate behaviors, neglect and neglect+abuse. So I assume that abuse wasn’t ingrained in them. I’m more inclined to believe that they were just driven to hate her hence the neglect, a type of avoidance because of her alien nature. Abuse however, means actively acting on that hate, which is surely contributed but not required by that hatred. I think they’re taking on at least some initiative and that not everything can be blamed on Camilla’s soul being misplaced.
I kinda get bothered every time I get reminded that Camilla's family hated the pervious Camilla because they could just sense she was "wrong". Like it feels like such a horrible excuse to brush away their abuse and neglect of her that we now know led to 26 deaths. I feel like our current Camilla almost doesn't have the right to forgive them in place of the past Camilla
