Okay now this is new. Since when did i start speaking urdu? That's not urdu...i don't even know urdu.

That's urdu? I was speaking in my language bro. It's Hindi. The only word which might be urdu is "bakwaas"? Like we use many urdu words in our sentences that it doesn't matter anymore lol. Should i have used a more shudhdh (pure) hindi word? Lol idk.
Okay. Google says both Hindi and Urdu are closely related and share many words so no wonder you thought i was speaking Urdu. Like The meaning of water in Urdu is "pani" and in hindi it would be "Jal" but literally no one says "Mein jal pan(drink) kar rha hu". We say "Mein pani pee rha hu". And there are many urdu words like"nahana" "mazak" "mouka" we use. Some don't even realise they're actually urdu words lol. But that doesn't necessarily mean we're speaking urdu. Just like using english words in between our sentences doesn't mean we're speaking English. Anyway that just means, I'm mixing 3 languages and speak it
The Hindi spoken in Indian movies is very close to how pakistani speak urdu because this language was created by the mughals of the sub continent who spoke Persian, arabic and farsi and created this new language hindi/urdu and this is all before the partition of India and Pakistan, so that's why our languages are similar but with subtle differences notably the grammar
If you have watched jodha akbar then the language they spoke is the actual origin of hindi and urdu which was later simplified by both countries after the partition
Ah..if Mughals created hindi/urdu then what language did we use to speak? Sanskrit maybe? Maybe the Mughals influenced the evolution of the language we use today. Anyway, I'm not too familiar with the language history.

Anyways I grew up in a house where one of my parents spoke gujurati and hindi and the other only urdu so I speak like a weird mix of urdu with hindi and gujurati mixed in and honestly I dont even notice until other people point it out
That's why I said it was urdu, to me it's kinda all assimilated, never knew those words were hindi good to know!
I suck at history and I just picked this up from my boring history class which I paid zero attention to honestly. Yes, you're right and from what I know mughals used to speak arabic, Persian and farsi because mugals were Arabs who came to sub continent where the aryans used to live who spoke siraiki and all these languages became mixed up as the time went on and as a result we have hindi/urdu but I don't think it was called sanskrit at that time. Sanskrit was the language of Hindus before the time of partition when the rule of mugals was over ...Our history is very complicated to understand imo...
Please don't take this srsly because I could be way off, but I thing I know for sure is that mugals are responsible for the hindi/urdu language which has an actual name but idk

I understand you. I'm not originally form a hindi spoken state. So i know my mother tongue, plus hindi which i learnt after coming to UP, and english. So yeah, sometimes my words sound weird to even me. Like what am i even speaking at this point? I'm so used to speaking hindi now that when i try speaking my mother tongue, i mix words up. Like if two words of different language with the same meaning had a child.
