He didn’t forgive him. It wasn’t hate, it was self loathing and punishing both Aeroc and himself. He loved him, but in an egoistic and stubborn way. Because of his insecurities, he always disliked Aeroc. He never forgave him in first life because he also lost his mind due to side effects of imprint, he did confess that he loved him in his third life. He married Raphael only because Raphael looked like Aeroc. And this isn’t just a headcanon , it’s confirmed as canon by Ogkloff in Third Life.
