i think it was because kael poisoned(?) a family that was against the empire for helios and diana. They then cast him aside and diana basically condemned him. dunno if im remembering correctly or not tho

She was being a hypocrite, condemning Kael for his behavior while benefitting from what he did. They got their so called happy ending and tossed him aside after using him. If that was me, I'd be depressed too. Imagine paving the way for the people you love only for them to blame you and then tossed you to the side without a care

I'm sorry and this is a genuine question like I'm not hating at all but like when I think about it, from the start what did Diana do so wrong? Ik she's a shitty character I'm not denying that but at the start we didn't know that she only showed her true colours a little bit later. From the start of the story her only crime was rejecting Helios, is it her fault hw was heartbroken and wanted to kill himself? I don't get it. Maybe she did something else that drove Helios to death that made the fl so adamant of revenge but other wise I'm a bit confused like she was courted by 2 guys, one a Prince and one a Duke why is it so bad that she chose one? They were both great marriage prospects, ig because they were friends long before diana was there and it kind of broke bro code but like that kind of battle over love happens in so many romance stories that it's a bit wierd to demonise it here.
