For this story I'm not surprised by the kids the time period this takes inspiration from it feels predictable. In the past stories would end with them getting together now we get all the family stuff. Parenting stuff is generally easier to write than coming up with a whole new storyline. Would love more creativity, but that just seems to be how relationship stories go.

Well I’d say it’s also a double edged sword since I can see many readers living vicariously through these stories and feeling satisfied with seeing their faves being parents
The light at the end of the tunnel for this story was a passionate loving marriage with her stan, obviously children are a natural byproduct of that. They're married, in love, AND she thinks he's the sexiest thing in creation.

I think what op was trying to say is the book going the obvious solution to "am depressed I wish to die because I feel completely dessicated from the world around my place in it and my worth as a human being" is failing in love with a guy and having kids, like that it no self discovery nothing to heal you just need a man and to be pregnant the moment you stop breastfeeding and this kinda read like propaganda 101 on controlling young women by using media
