A lot of yaoi is sorta geared towards a female audience so you see a lot of very pretty panels, very big focus on how handsome the characters are, usually less emphasis on female characters etc etc. I wouldn't say that means it's literally "shoujo" but being loose with the term it is geared towards women
In comparison I feel like a lot of shounen will go gritty with art work where expressions can be drawn a little uglier or the characters engage in more shenanigans than you'd see in stuff geared towards women
I'm mostly saying it for comedic reasons because this is just yaoi and comedy in terms of literal genres
(But as an aside I have a gripe with the yaoi/yuri, shounen ai/shoujo ai (?) split of genres because it's almost too broad and action stories with a subplot about romance don't get branded romance in the same way an action series with a subplot with a gay romance is automatically considered romance first)

Ooohhhh I got you. I would see this one being a seinen comedy if it weren't labeled BL, cause it's pretty funny but adult. But I get what you're trying to say.
I do agree that genre labels aren't always accurate since most people think BL is just yaoi (erotica), and they don't label BLs or GLs based on their other genres primarily.

I feel like this is shounen yaoi. That's all, idk what's giving me that vibe but I am getting it
