1. FL is SUCH a baddie god I love her SOOO MUCH 2. ML keeps pissing me off 40+ chapters ...

I acc like his character..it’s more human like he’s not some op ML like what is so common lolll, also that statement is a bit harsh considering all that he’s been through and it’s not like he remaining a piece of trash, he’s getting more confident like….what do you honestly expect from him..?

1. The fact that he's more vulnerable than the FL isn't what I dislike about him. I think one of the things for example is the whole thing with the baby cousin? Niece? I forgot but the whole baby thing. He didn't trust the FL with them, but also if he d!ed, he never had a back up plan for them so then? If for some reason they had succeeded in blackmailing him with the baby, the FL would have been the one burdened with protecting everyone and finding a way out not him lol. He keeps comparing him and the FL trusting each other as equals/partners but for the FL its a JOB she needs to know EVERYTHING in order to protect him 10000% whereas him...all he needs to trust is that she can do her job idk why he wants to be her friend or involve emotions and then gets mad when the FL doesn't reciprocate lol. Also if you don't trust her then why did you hire her??? The whole point is that he's DESPERATE??? So as the saying goes beggars cant be choosers man. If he can't be strong physically he has to be strong mentally which he isn't.

2. What I meant is that it's so weird that he's a good ruler and everyone loves him but also the emperor thinks he's trash and incompetent so he lets him live. Its inconsistent, you're telling me the emperor never sussed him out? Bro supposedly wastes all his money (that secretly comes from his personal funds) to look like a waste but somehow his people are happy and everyone respects him?? Then he's not trash??????? So then why does the emperor let him live?? Did the emperor never think "hey this guy gambles money away all the time but his land and people are still thriving...how SUSPICIOUS!!"

1.Ok so I kinda understand why he’d not wanna tell the FL. She has proven to be a liar multiple times and they literally just met. And we the audience obviously kno she’s lowkey a good person but he deadass just met her and the most he’s prolly seen from HIS pov is tht shes a great assassin, a great THEIF, and a great liar. And all tht mainly makes her look money hungry so him trusting her isss…. And he did have a backup plan for his nephew. his plan if anything was to happen to him was for his friend to continue taking care of his nephew. and from his POV again hes trusting someone hes known damn near all his life and has been by his side since childhood. And no one expects someone they’ve saved to turn on them. So if anything he’s definately naive. And that’s actually a quality I like because they always make the women naive and/or just damsel in distress so it’s refreshing to see the man in this position this time.


2. I totally agree. We’re gonna have to chalk it down to the emperor just being negligent in looking deeper into his nephew. but tht is a bit of a fart in the plot.

But he HIRED her to guard him bc he was desperate! If he's not going to trust her he's just going to make her job harder which would just make it easier for him to get k!lled as it makes it easier for people to sow discord between the two LOL + He just cant get it in his head that her being a good person is irrelevant to how well she can do her job man which is also annoying. All in all bro isn't the brightest bulb in the pack so him having the "schemer" label doesn't really suit him. He's useless just a "nice person" which for me isn't enough to make him likeable. Also all the tantrums that he throws are annoying they just make him look like a manchild in my eyes like ik you've been babied by your servants but it's time to grow up man not everyone that serves you is going to do it bc they like you as a person.

+ I also really dislike FLs who have nothing going for them aside from them being a "nice person" so perhaps that's why I can't like this dude lol he's literally useless and more trouble than what it's worth imo so again whenever I see all the people treating him like he's better than the FL it just sours stuff for me bc we all know who the better of the two is lol. It would have been better if the dialogue were more like "I know she's a commoner but even a commoner doesn't deserve to marry a trashy person like ML" or whatever something to highlight that his reputation as a person sucks at least a LITTLE.

Ok so I feel like just because he’s desperate that doesn’t mean he should have fully trusted her. Hes had assassination attempts on his life since his parents died so we gone have to agree to disagree cause I wouldn’t trust someone I hired either just cause I was desperate. Yes I agree it did make her job harder but like I said from his pov he’s JUST met her. Desperate or not it wouldn’t make sense for him to just tell her his biggest secret. literally all his family has been killed back to back so to just open his arms to someone he really doesn’t kno and to tell her he has one last family member wouldn’t make sense. It actually made sense for him to hold suspicion. now like I said POVs. We can see tht she is a genuine person because we’re seeing how she thinks. He can’t see wht we see. And again since he can’t read minds like we can as readers he put his trust into his best friend. which is understandable because he’s been with him ever since he saved him and has been playing him the entire time which is not the ML fault.

2yes I agree like I don’t like FLs like tht either but I do like this ML to be kinda useless and damsel in distress coded(in this situation) becauseit actually makes the FL shine more imo. it’s always the FL as the damsel and the ML as the hero saving her. and if the story IS about a strong FL they always find a way to make her useless or put her in a situation where she NEEDS the ML. Or they make her best trait her brain but then she’s not physically strong at all and always ends up kidnapped or sum. so wht im getting from yo Is tht u just want more people to give the FL her flowers and Thts understandable.me personally I like them both cause like I said this is the perfect role reversal. to me the FL shines brighter because the ML isn’t the typical ML.

I can see that I guess fair enough that he doesn't want to trust her with the child + yeah the thing with the friend is annoying but like you said it is good that it makes him have flaws (even if they're flaws I personally find annoying ) it isn't his fault yeah but he's in a weird situation where the emperor wants to k!ll him but everyone else adores him? So it almost feels like there are no stakes aside from the beginning when he nearly got poisoned. So in a way I lowkey clapped when it turned out his friend betrayed him lol. Like deserved!!! You're too sheltered!!

2. I can see that. Im used to in situations like these where the FL is the stronger one physically for the ML to be the scheming type so they both pull their weight. If its vice versa the FL has to be the smart/scheming type and the ML has to be strong physically. They both have to pull their weight for me in some way. In this he's genuinely useless so yeah not endearing to me at all. Fair enough and tbh I thought the same at the start but then she started needing all these peoples approval to marry him and all these nobles started looking down on her and it just made me salty. Like she has to get the approval of all these elders, has to endure and fight other noblewoman, AND ALSO HAS TO FIGHT HIS OPPS??? It just feels like she's doing too much and instead of helping with the burden he IS THE BURDEN AND HE'S MAKING IT WORSE!!!

In situations where the FL hires the shady ML as a bodyguard the ML never has to deal with all this. The FL is still the one being looked down on for "marrying a commoner". And in this one instead of blaming ML they blame the FL for "daring to marry a nobleman" either way the FL is a victim of misogyny so I don't really see him as the FL lol he still has that male privilege.

I’m sure there gonna add more situations where he’ll be put into a tight spot cause I agree there has been a lot more petty situations coming up for our FL then the ML. and I totally agree with the emperor situation. I feel like tht specific thing should have been worked on a little more because your right it doesn’t make sense tht his territory tht he governs is TOP tier and all his people like him. Which is why I said I’m gonna have to chalk it down the the emperor just being straight up negligent of his goals to get rid of the ML. cause it’s nothing for an emperor to hire someone to look into the ML and find out tht he’s really not a sleaze ball.also at the same time she knew wht she was getting into.Maybe not the getting accepted by family members but she understood tht there would be challenges that came with her being a commoner so yes the situations she’s put in ARE because of him and they are stupid ash but at the same time she made a quick decision for some big money.

2. Babe if u have stories about an equally yoked pair pls drop the recommendations cause every time I get a strong FL she somehow always gets put in a situation where she’s relying on the ML. and there’s nothing wrong with tht cause we love a reliable man but I need more FLs who are just strong ALL over. Cause like I said it’s either they make her into a damsel or they make her only strong suit her ability to scheme and think quick. and there’s nothing wrong with tht either but I want a FL tht isn’t afraid of bloodshed and can actually fight back with her fists not just sit behind the ML and come up with plans.
