well from what i understand it's cause all their children were mostly born as Dominant Alpha and the Dad was afraid they would unintentionally hurst their mom so he mostly separated the kids from his wife. they grew up being detached from emotions and love from parents.

The children you saw are dominant alphas, with the exception of Chase who isn't at that point, because he manifested later. And that is one of Chase's main problems, because they don't understand him. It's not that they want to be cruel to him on purpose, they really don't understand him. Grayson was born manifested and Nathaniel with ~2 years.
The same with his father Ashley, he doesn't understand that Chase wanted a different reaction from him.

You need to read Extra 2 to really understand it. It's a mixture of several factors.
To be honest, they should have stopped after the twins, sure there wouldn't be any Chase, but that really was the point where more children were overkill.
Koi wanted more children and Ashley couldn't controle fertilty due to brain damage, they tried to avoid it, but it still happened. They should have found a way that it didn't happen.

Koi and Ashley both had problematic parents. Add that Koi has problems with smelling ( a real problem concerning pheromones) and he found out very late the he is a dominant omega.
And Ashley damaged his brain and became emotionless, became dependent on Koi, because Koi's pheromones keep his brain damage at bay, it would get worse without. Is extremely possessive of Koi and is extremely paraoid that on of his children become like his own father.
They were not fit to be parents for so many children, where 4 manifested before they where 5 years old, and they had Grayson who was born manifested ( I'm not sure about his fraternal twinsister, her eyes weren open and Ashley went by pheromone scent. But she wasn't treated like Grayson and she doesn't release more pheromones than or normal, or it would have been mentioned).

You had 6 children running wild, escaping their nannies, half of them emotionless, didn't understand right and wrong etc. An emotionless alpha father (aside from his love for Koi) who had to take care of his law firm, who has been jealous of his own children. An omega father, who loved them no matter what, but had problems handling all of them and at the same time Ashley sabotaging the time he spent with them.
They were aware that the twins where "helping" Chase. And I don't really know who of them first got that idea, because Grayson's sister ( they left her out in the current manhwa chapter, she should have been present, too) also could have been the driving force at the beginning. Koi told them they should stop it and the nannies should have an eye on it.
But the nannies were useless I think, because how do you explain that an under 10 year old can bake a cake with detergent and give it to his omega father?
They wanted to know if Koi really couldn't smell and taste. Grayson baked the cake, but Stacy was clearly equally responsible and Nathaniel was just watching.
Ashley found them like this, not helping, the twins asking questions and Nathaniel just watching. They really didn't understand the situation. Ashley almost killed Grayson. After that Ashley forbid Koi to have contact with the children and even when they were adults never let him be alone with them. He took over raising them in his own way, making sure they don't kill anyone could be part of the society.
Grayson probably had it the hardest, because for his father he was the most like his own father Dominic, it looks like he isn't aware of it, but I think he is
    .
It was most likely a mistake to not let Chase see Koi while he still wasn't manifested, since Koi would have been the one Chase really needed, before he gave up on them.
Chase may seems to be te only one with emotions, but Nathaniel for example had the impression he was in the way of his parents, and wanted to go to a boarding school.
And Grayson is also not really emotionless. But you need to read his novel to really understand it.
How I understand it is, that the children needed more care, attention and love. So they could really identify their problems (Grayson for example was diagnosted wrong by several doctors), and handle them the right way, but there were 6 of them. That's why I said at the beginning they should have stopped after the twins. Those three manifested dominant alphas were already a lot to handle.

I forgot that Koi actually should have been shown in this chapter too.
I checked again in the novel, it was shortly mentioned that Koi went to Chase's room, heard from Ashley that his bird died, and that he is sorry, but Chase didn't react and leave. The manhwa actually left out the one of the family who really loved them all.

If you want to now what actually happened there with the parents, in that chapter from the LMUIYC perspective.

In LMUIYC, Ashley first thought that is was Grayson who did something, although he told him to leave Chase alone. Then Chase started talking about his bird, he thought that what he said was enough to console Chase ( Ashley has problems with emotions as mentioned), he wasn't aware that Chase needed a different answers.

Ashley later told Koi that Chase's bird died, and Koi asked if he could see Chase ( that was some time after the foodpoisoning). He tried to talk to Chase and console him, but Chase wasn't reacting to what he said ( I thnk he gave up on his family at that point). And didn't know what to do, because of that reaction, and not seeing the children regulary anymore for some time.

After that he talked to Ashley, that he wanted at least that Ashley let him help, giving his opinion. They thought about a solution for Chase, that he should have contact to people outside of the family, a chance to connect with others. And Ashley remembered that one of his clients was searching for a little girl for a chocolate commercial. That's how Chase started to become an actor.

I think the one were they messed up the most was Grayson, one reason was probably the doctors who diagnosted him incorrectly.
But in his story they came to the conclusion that they made mistakes how they raised him.
