Do you think he already likes him but can't label it being a divorcee and all, like having that emotional trauma of it? Because we still don't know the reasons they got divorced and it seems like it took a lot on him considering he was having panic attacks. He also cried telling if you were there, we could've done this together and he also hates it when he can't reach people he cares about, has expressed the belief people leave anyway. I understand yearning for a friend to be there by your side completely, I'm sure he only saw him like that since Ian was really young then but I think he just got married in rush, didn't really love her and got divorced later because he has those regretful tones. So he doesn't really know or understand what it's like to really feel the rush of liking/loving someone and that's what is confusing him so he just says it's physical attraction?? I did strongly when Ian said I missed you and Eunsan has already expressed wanting people who are reliable and there so what do you think? Just asking cuz you're interested in their emotional journey which I'm as well. Would love to hear your thoughts :))
I think that Eunsan's hesitancy is definitely due to the circumstances of his divorce and also his anxiety that really goes back to his trauma with hockey, his father's neglect, and also Ian leaving him after promising to stay together. I think he is looking for stability and to protect his heart, and so while he yearns for Ian he can't fully commit yet. Though he is self aware enough to recognize that he is extremely attracted to Ian and that the 4 months is going to be a lie. It seems like he takes the fault for the divorce so I have to wonder if he feels like his anxiety disorder was a burden on his ex-wife. He doesn't seem to think poorly of her, which is refreshing. I think he is a good guy but has a lot of unresolved trauma revolving around his father and hockey. Ian is a reminder of that but also a way for him to resolve it and heal!
I like how self aware both Eunsan and Ian are. And I really enjoy Eunsan's internal monologues. You can really tell he's starting to fall.
