Honestly in those cultivation novels there's always a bunch of items that reshape meridians and dantian and whatever... and I bet the place they were at would have at least 1...
Even if he followed the same till that guy teleported them elsewhere... I'd at least try a whole bunch of different careers... I'd practice martial arts for health but I'd try to live as many different lives as possible... and frankly... he's too obsessed with cultivators... in a bad way... Ik the point is perseverance over talent but... there's a difference between persistence and stubbornness... and to me this feels more like the later...

honestly. cuz like bros basically immortal already but it's like instead of enjoying the in-between with 50 year resets; he wants to become a cultivator for a looooong long life??? because what other reason is there, really? you're either pursuing strength or immortality by obsessing over that path. it's not like his life, by human standards, is short so it isn't as though he's leaving people he'd miss behind unfairly? so unless it's purely the 'you said i can't so i'm going to dedicate my all to proving you wrong' trope (which is kind of like......how have you not moved past being 5?) it's gotta be one of the former

The only motivation I saw him give is that he wants to break this eternal loop... and his best chance is going back... but again... he'd have more chance by exploring that place than trying to updo? Cultivators or whatever he is doing... all in all I agree... mc doesn't seem as wise as someone that's ih their 4-5th life...
young hoon be p fuckin annoying sometimes.
'too bad you didn't reach the next realm'
