It's transferable through blood, it doesn't require sexual intercourse at all
I know but the way he insinuated that says he wanted to do transfer it in more...unpleasant way (at least that's what I think)
I know her actions are not justified. She shouldn't have abandoned her son. She should've taken responsibility of him. Yes, yes, every single comments are right
BUT!! Let's see this a bit differently. She DIDN'T abandon her son just because of MC's immature outburst. It might be deeper than that
She was a widow, she remarried in hopes of providing her son a complete family. Then, turns out this man had AIDS, and when confronted about it, he says that he should give it to her little son (Idk whether it meant him raping the MC or raping the mother because it could transmit from infected mother to fetus too).
Now let's be clear about one thing. AIDS is not like your regular common cold. Patient needs immense will power and support from people around them just to cope with this syndrome. So, did she have anyone to rely on? Was there someone to say it's okay? I bet she couldn't even provide MC any basic needs because let's be honest no matter how educated people are, they're still gonna have biased view about this disease. Apart from that, she knew that rumors would follow her son always, no matter what.
In the end, she must've come to the conclusion. What could be better? Her son being called an orphan or her son being haunted by all sorts of nasty things just because she had AIDS (which was not even her fault)? She did what she thought was right.
And let me add something...I have seen how a child was forced to drop out from the school just because one of his parents had AIDS. When asked about this incident, the principal mentioned about protest from parents AS WELL AS the TEACHERS. Like can you believe? One who we consider most educated one did something so outrageous
So yeah, I don't blame anyone of them
