Possibly sliding the story into predictable cliche, so understandable that one could be disappointed.
I didn't mind if the cliche if it's written well enough. I was reading one comic with the bottom that had a messed up eye and a drug user brother and the top was a blonde undercover something. But it was written into the plot. It didn't feel like it was just dropped in.
This far in, it would feel to random.
It wouldn't feel random if you'd read the last chapter of his brothers story.
