I have theory this isn't tragedy tag and theres no tragedy BECAUSE in the future Baekhee and Yang-il are gonna be Defendant and Attorney in the future.. That means this whole past tense is because its Baekhee reminiscing and pondering about why he's even doing all this lawyer mumbo jumbo—because of Yang-il having no justice. He sees another who's been treated unfairly (which leads me to theorize the reason they hypothetically meet is because Yangil found out about Baekhee wanting to be a lawyer, so Yangil reached out to Baekhee after like a decade of their highschool graduation!!!) SO YANG-IL ISNT DEAD, AND BAEKHEE'S NARRATIVE IS JUST SLIGHTLY OFF-PUTTING BEING OF BAEKHEES OWN PAST AND ITS JSUT HIM BEING ANGSTY (Im fibbing btw Im just hoping yang I'm aint actually dead)
