I agree but whats the point when its the same thing over and over again, not really much new info. We probably know more about how "good" he used to be over haesoo's current situation with the ml (exaggeration) but it gets to a point. Like this is not new information, were not dumb and yes we can argue that "oh that just reflects his personality" but the artist doesnt need to spend xyz amount of panels to reflect on why he made that decision

It adds to the story and not everybody hates seeing the backstory actually I would like to see why he developed into such a shitty person…. It’s repetitive to see the female lead and male lead constantly being lovey-dovey. This isn’t a fluff story. It’s showing the real dynamics between the character characters and what made them who they are and how they are. Even if the effect was opposite and came out a bad person not a good one. It’s still important to see why and understand that he wasn’t always like that. Though it doesn’t take away from his current actions. I think it’s good story and character development even if the developmental outcome isn’t what we wanted to be.
I dont think you understood what i meant, i dont mean that i want a fluffy story between fl and ml, i just mean we need to new information. Like backstory sure but this is just rehashing old stuff, why would we need to repeat this exact same storyline like we already knew this before theyve expounded on this like 4 times in the story already, this is mincheols nth "i cheat bc i feel wanted and haesoo makes me feel insecure." Like you said you wanna see how mincheol became like that, then they should explore that
Im talking about the pacing. Even the confrontation between ml and mincheol was anti-climactic. All foreplay no orgasm, literary edging even. The story beats are all over the place, the issue isnt with the existence of the backstory, its how they execute it. I think youre confusing my comments with the others saying they dont want a backstory bc thats not what i said
Additionally where did i even imply that i didnt care for the dynamics and how he became like that? Thats practically the only reason why im still hanging around, bc the author is good at that.
mincheol is multi-faceted, and you dont have to be a good person to be a good character, i agree with that, but that doesnt take away that this is bad writing i think you shouldve taken this reply somewhere else bc thats someone elses opinion ur trying to contest
