no seriously. they were both a victim. i don't know why it's getting over people's head that she didn't simply abandon him because of his outburst. It may have been a catalyst but she considered how his life would've been if she had stayed with him; withering away in her own pain / illness especially aids & her child having to witness that. the last line is wicked tho, i'm sure they'll clear up the whole "i abandoned her" bs in upcoming chapters. he's just in a state of shock & grief, overwhelmed by his emotions.
Idk, I find it weird how everyone is talking about abandonment as if giving up your child for adoption is some unforgivable abhorrent act. Life is simply more complicated and nuanced than that.
