    I think author is trying to explain everything to make the story less confusing but ended up over-explaining with the flashbacks lol

    Na, I think the author is at a loss of how to redeem Hanbit in the present so they're going to lean heavily on his childhood to attempt to redeem his current self instead. A "See how caring and loving he's always been towards his brother? He's always loved him all along, he just didn't realize it was romantic love and not brotherly. Isn't he just the bestest?"

    Never thought of that. This makes so much more sense tbh. But really, if hanbit is redeemable he should fix his possessiveness than justifying it with his childhood!
