I think it's from the enhanced quality filter from the poster, not Old's! The same case as Tamen de Gushi's latest chapters where the translator uses AI to enhance the quality of the manhua. Tamen de Gushi and 19Days, if you see the original from the artists' account, they look more natural than the one posted here.
Like in this latest chapter, if you see the second and last page of Qiu's hair, it is actually less detailed/missing hair lines. But if you read the manhua on Old's account, these hair lines are more visible and look more natural.

But the quality is better, no? I cannot the check the original chinese version of the manhua due to the site being blocked by my country, but the recent chapter on twitter (even without speech bubbles) having clearer details despite the low quality/a lil pixelated if zoomed pictures compared to the exact same chapter here in mangago missing that details, and looking AI despite the "better" picture quality proofs that the AI look doesn't come from the artist and the original panels, but from filters possibly from the reposter or third party. I don't get how you told me I'm lying when you just proofed exactly what I said
That said, I do agree about Old using AI for backgrounds. Someone else mentioned (I forgot here in mangago or somewhere else) that they uses AI filter app for the background, prob to make real background photos more cartoonish or something. Personally I don't mind this, but it does kinda bother me if the focus panel IS the background. Still I prefer the old chapters' backgrounds that doesn't look AI and fits more with the characters vibes

It's the AI enhancement the traslators use for the panels, not Old_Xian's. You can go on twitter and see the original panels he posts and see the difference.
And he's been using a photoshop (the drawing/editing program he showed he uses for the manhua) filter over real photos to make them look cartoonish. It's actually something a lot of comic artists use. It's not AI.
He's been doing that for backrounds for years now, before AI became this big thing now. You can check that as well.
The author use of Ai is worse and worse each chapter, before it was just the background but now some hands and faces now even look off
