First seme dies
First Seme was a soldier, earth is at war with aliens and he dies protecting someone in the surface (humans live underground)
Uke is a scientist researching a portal to basically leave earth because it's hopeless to try and take it back so the better option is to jump ship, the portal is called the warp.
After first Seme dies, the warp suddenly opens on it's own and suddenly a bunch of soldiers come in, it's not aliens, it's humans from an alternate reality, this is where Second Seme comes in.
Second seme is just first Seme, but from another dimension where his uke is also dead.
The warp gets damaged from being forcibly open from the other side so a scientist lady and Second seme stay behind to help repair it since its basically their fault it's damaged.
That's the story so far rn
OMG I get it. This reminds me of the world hopping subgenre/tropes in danmei (Chinese BL novel) where MC goes into different worlds or timeline, etc, and there’s different MLs but they’re all one soul.

Oops forgot to ask. So when you say the second seme is just first seme where in his timeline, his Uke is dead.
Is it because MC left the first dimension/timeline? So his other part is dead there? Or he actually had someone else while MC was just doing his scientist thing?
And when you say “also dead”, second seme’s Uke in the current timeline is also dead?

By also dead I meant that he was dead just like first Seme, later I realized it could be misinterpreted, and it actually hasn't been revealed in the comic itself that alternate Uke died, that was a spoiler I read from another commenter, currently we don't know how he died, but he died before the events of the story, so I don't think it's caused by second seme leaving his dimension
Yes the uke from Earth is also dead and we know(who already finished the first season) know why he is dead
That’s sad sounding. His other version is dead but he is technically back as second uke although they aren’t the same (soul basis).
Yes, but as story its a pretty interesting 2 main lean from different dimension/world with some sort of similarities(death of other counterpart). And how both of them are looking for his dead lover in other person(even though they are similar but completely different people).

But they do...lol how would you feel if you didn't say last words to your grandma/grandpa(hopefully your grandparents are well) before they die and suddenly the portal opens and you see " your grandma/grandpa"?! What's your immediate reaction? I would probably burst in tears, and assume that I can say "I love you" one more time....so this is the premise of this story, but with a twist that its not your grandma/grandma but completely different people with their own background and life story... the only similarities you have with those people its only they look as someone you loved...
We never say I love you or any word affirmations in my household, I’ll be good. But I’m sure if it’s not my family/blood related, if it’s a partner I dearly cherish, yeah I get it, I’d fucking bawl my eyes out and just hug like a koala. I’d probably be in denial and ask if they remember me, get angry, etc. Stages of grief.
It would be very hard to accept that they are not the same one. You look at them and they look just like the one you lost. I hope this story executes the acknowledgment well. Or will they just do poor writing by somehow having memories merged?
Yeah the part where you have to come to terms with that it’s not the person you grew up loving or living with, is such a heart stabber. Idk about you but I don’t do well with angst, I have read danmeis like ErHa, Ten Years I Loved You the Most, and some other just angst heavy stories.
I haven’t read an angst story in a long time, so I am not so happy that I came across this because once I see it, I have to read it. But the concept and plot itself is already better than what I usually read, so can’t complain. Most recent angst ish story I have read here is Rose in the Garden or whatever it was called, and other few angst stories.
I would have the same reaction as you! I even say more, I would for sure looked for my loved ones in them...let's cross fingers that this story will be dissent and have development...
