it's been a bit since i've read it but it goes like this for the most part, from now to damn near the end.











Obvi the empress finds out and tries to use Bellesac as the scapegoat since it was HIS dagger used against the emperor. Perez is now being favored by the emperor but ONLY a little bit tbh, and Florentia is now "acting" head of Lombardi. Everyone is shocked about this during the first meeting she attends. The empress also attends the meeting, but because it's a meeting of leaders she can't really say anything. In this meeting the Brown head is basically making a case as to why he should be reinstated, the head of Chousou (however you spell it..) gives him three properties of the Agenas that he gained because they didn't pay him back. Obviously the empress is really upset because now the Browns and Agenas are basically equal (except not rlly bc the Browns have MORE land but only a little..) So then they bring up that the Browns have unpaid tax... so Lombardi pays all the unpaid tax they owe. Meeting ends but Browns still aren't reinstated and the emperor now has to make the decision. Bellesac finds out from Florentia that he is about to be blamed for everything and they're basically able to get him out of that situation. He goes back to his mom and is told to act as if he's dead, and his dad (Vieze) is lowkey still a damn mess. Vieze goes to the grandpa of Florentia and is drunk and super upset. Grandpa tells him that he gave him so many chances and to gtfo of Lombardi. Now, Astana does not rlly remember what he did, he's also telepathically on the same page with his mom, so when he finds out that it wasn't Perez that he aimed for his era is basically over and he becomes slightly irrelevant. The empress is still obviously super upset that her son is in prison, so she goes to meet the emperor and basically sways him to agree with not reinstating the Brown family.He agrees because he thinks if he DOES reinstate the Browns then Lombardi will gain even more power. Then she goes after the Pellet company, thinking that Clervian is the leader, (since on paper he is) she gives the imperial knights the order to kill him on sight. She knows that they have a land and loan agreement just how Chousou did. Clervian is able to escape into Lombardi where they can't get him bc imperial knights are not allowed in. Eventually the reinstatement yay or nay meeting is held, right before it begins though Perez talks to the emperor. They have tea and Perez tells him that no matter what, the Brown family will be reinstated. And also Florentia is being held up by the knights outside the meeting place (they think Clervian will give Browns more land but they can't find him so she walks in solo) So meeting begins, emperor says that the land difference is so slight that it basically doesn't even matter what choice he makes, then Florentia tells them that the Pellet company can actually give land to the Browns. The empress says no bc the owner of Pellet company is not here and she cannot give the contract in his stead. This is where Florentia FINALLY reveals she's run the Pellet company since she was 11, everyone is shocked ofc. They obviously cannot disallow the actual owner to give the contract to Brown, so Brown gets reinstated. Empress is PISSED, so she does the highkey unthinkable. She orders her maid to poison him FULLY, she already has been but not to this extent. It's the same poison used (if u remember) on the assassination attempt against Perez when he was riding with Florentia. Emperor is on his deathbed but survived surprisingly. We later find out it's bc Perez gave him the antidote to the poison when they drank tea. The emperor is disallowing anyone to come into the room so the empress is very upset that Perez is stopping her from going in, but eventually everyone is let in. Then we get a flashback of the maid running into Perez as she was poisoning the alcohol, Perez tells her to keep poisoning him. Long ago they had a secret meeting where he told her that he knew she was not the one who killed her mother by poison, it was in fact the emperor. He told her that he would basically double everything the empress had promised and keep her family in the Agenas safe. So he got her trust, and she poisoned the wine the emperor drank. Back to the present, the empress is acting all sweet but Perez then calls in the maid. Who then explains it was the empress's doing. The empress says BULLSHIT! but they've got proof. Because Bellesacs mom was the one who got the poison long ago for her, and they have a letter from either her or the empress (i forgot) talking about the poison used. So empress is then thrown into the dungeon with Astana. Perez gets down there and tells Astana he will free him if he agrees to throw his mom under the bus.. obviously Astana being who he is.. does exactly that. Throughout the days that passed, the now crown prince (Perez, AYEEE) was basically being forced to serve the emperor tea whenever he called for it. There's still another issue though, long ago Florentia and Perez called off the engagement because Florentia was about to become the official head of Lombardi and she could not lose the title or family name (which she would if she married.) So.. Perez basically blackmailed the emperor to write a law saying that wouldn't happen. Obviously he didn't agree, because he knew the empire would basically be on the leash of Lombardi if they married. Perez says it's either me or Astana then.. obviously the Emperor isn't dumb, so he created the law in writing (no one knows yet as it's like middle of the night) During this time Florentia is celebrating becoming head of Lombardi. Her grandmother (from her moms side) visits and tells her a VERY big secret... the people of her tribe have POWERS. The grandmas being she knows what's on everyone's mind, but it comes at a cost (they all do) so she's becoming blind. Florentia finds out that hers is reliving her life, BUT since she is half blood there is no curse, also meaning that the first time she went back into the past was the last time. So she can't die with regrets is what her grandma said. She knows Florentia was planning to live as head in this life and in the next live as Perez's wife. She also finds out that hers mom knew all along that she would die and leave Florentia with her dad. Because her power was seeing in the future, but before she left the tribe she told her mother that they (Florentia and Gallaghan) were just so amazing that she had to go. (That entire chapter is so beautiful.) Knowing Florentia can't live a next life, she runs off to the palace to propose. However Perez beat her to it, and he proposes in the forest they met. A little bit Afterwards, like always, Perez served the emperor tea, this time poisoned, and the emperor dies with a life of regret remembering that Florentias grandpa always told him to watch the drinks and food he had (it was either now or when the empress poisoned him, i can't remember). A meeting is later held where Perez will become emperor, and lets everyone know abt the new law and announces his engagement. There's more after this too, i really recommend reading it for yourself!

yess, another thing i forgot to mention is the reason why the empress did what she did. it was because if she succeeded then she would have a say as to who would be crown prince.
