Help me find a manga/manhwa before I think it's all in my head. I swear I remember reading about this but can't seem to find any screenshot or any trace of it on my phone cause I don't think I wouldn't get a screenshot of it if I didn't like it to the point of knowing the whole ass summary of the story.
It’s about a FL who is originally from the countryside and goes to the capital to stay at her aunt’s home. Her aunt convinces her to attend a ball, where she meets the son of a duke—the ML, whose name starts with an E, like Edwin or something. The ML is blonde, by the way.
The FL falls in love with the ML, but due to the difference in their social status, she doesn’t dare to approach him. When she returns to her countryside home, she can’t forget the ML and becomes lovesick and depressed.
One day, her father brings back a slave, and she discovers that the slave is actually the duke’s son she loves. The royal family saw the duke’s influence as too strong and accused them of treason, which led to the death of his family—except for him, as he managed to escape.
The ML is passed from household to household, treated as a plaything or trophy by noblewomen because of his beauty.
At the FL’s house, the ML is treated like a stable boy. The FL keeps watching him, and eventually, they develop feelings for each other. They decide to elope (I think), but they are ambushed, and the FL is kidnapped. She is later found by the neighboring kingdom’s crown prince, the future king.
The royalty want the ML at all costs, so they make a bribe related to war participation. If the FL’s family doesn’t hand over the ML, their 12-year-old son—who is the only one capable—is forced to participate in the war. The 12-year-old is assigned to the most dangerous station.
The ML turns himself in, but the royalty don’t honor their promise and still send the 12-year-old to the dangerous station, where he dies because they didn’t send the letter withdrawing him in time. The county falls into ruin.
The ML then goes on a rampage, destroys the kingdom, and goes to the neighboring country to do the same which he then finds the FL again.
They reunite and live in seclusion, where they have a daughter. They send her to the neighboring kingdom to return a token that the king had given to the FL before (cause the crown prince became smitten of her during her stay).
