The ML never demanded control. I agree with you that this is very important. The MC often offered control, but that's what ML ignored.

He didn't have to give up BDSM though. That's disappointing if that's the case. A lot of victims of SA find liberation in BDSM. The issue with the ML is he's not a good dom. The MC should be the one in real control during play.
