As only webtoon reader I think artist made good choice with cutting it , another subplot for 10+ chapters would be just dragging it out
It wouldn't be 10, it was at least quarter of the novel, if not a third. It was long and tiresome and boring. Cutting it out was the best decision.
The thing is that they shoud’ve shortened it, not completely erased it. In those moments alone where mc is not with ml, he truly bonded with the family while also looking out for ML. Atleast 2 chapters showing him with the family, because not immediately the nsa guy finds him. And mc immediately meets ml which was supposed to be after I think he agreed to a contract with the nsa for 1 year. This is such a shitty way of pacing, sure the chapter’s updates are long but the parts they cut out was important to mc as he stands up to himself & realize for himself.
Except it really wouldn’t be about 10+ chapters, around 2-3 chapters would’ve show mc with the family & still show his worrisome for mc & etc. He doesn’t even immediately meet the nsa guy, and decides to agree on 1 year contract & even become his “ guide “. It just felt off the part where when mc wasn’t with ml he realised what he wants & a family he bonded with till the end. Without the family, he wouldn’t be able to hide out long & the development he had which made him more mature
Showing random family and their connection through just 2-3 chapters would have too fast pacing tbh if they wanted to show them bonding they more chapters would be needed . If they showed it quick you would complain
Like I said, they accepted mc & became close in just a short period. So 2-3 chapters would’ve been enough for it to show instead of randomly throwing off the family who helped him & still became close with them when him & ml became together. If you would’ve read the novel, that parts of the novel is crucial to the nsa guy finding mc & knowing him about ml’s condition which would’ve made mc still be in hiding from mc & not been resolved.
You do not need a 10 ass chapters to show mc hiding with the family because even though it’s longer in the novel, they befriend him & welcomed him to family easily. He only stayed because like I said hiding. Without an Important part of the family member didn’t become an Esper & informing the nsa guy, since Andante tried to find mc everywhere & even the nsa guy yet they couldn’t find him, no traces found. It’s stupid because next chapter he found him when he looked everywhere yet he can’t find him & boom he now knows he’s there? Not long in the novel they met but still, nsa talk & created a contract which was a few chapters and then Andante founds out.

The thing is on chapter 73, in the novel he’s not supposed to be in a hospital bed. he was found & cared by a family and one of them went to the nsa guy company since one of the children of the family became an A-Class Esper. The mc is living with the family for a few weeks and communicating with the family, and nsa guy found out that The A-Class Esper mentioned about his knowledge from a person who is staying with his family & nsa guy put two & two together. Then shit goes around and both mc & nsa guy talk LIKE REALLY TALK. mind you, in latest chapters alone in the chapters is about 5-8 chapters in the novel. It’s not supposed to be immediately happen. Since Mc & nsa guy did a contract & shit, but mc using the teleportation warp ( on ch 73/74 ) and ending in there, while also being taken home with the family & bonding. like almost to the end of the novel, the girl from the family wants to even marry mc- bruh Mc in the novel doesn’t immediately meet ML which is just wrong here.
