In my opinion it's not the type of manga that would make my heart skip a beat from reading it or would make me think "aww they're really in love with each other" no 3some has yet made me feel that way when reading a BL manga only monogamy.
I agree. But between making your heart skip and treating the characters as no more than cardboard figures who are merely vehicles for to deliver the plot, and in this case erotic elements, there is a medium to which I was referring. I wouldn't expect a story like this to have the sort of 'feels' that would make hearts skip, that isn't it's focus, but that doesn't mean that the characters have to be devoid of personality and not be able to show consideration for each other beside lust.
Aside from the fact that its fiction, and of a very specific type, meaning an erotic manga, I do hope that isn't just going to be about how they become a happy threesome. I mean the characters are somewhat cliché and stereotypical, but it would be nice if those semes took the time, and showed a bit of personality to try to not only improve the uke self-image through appearance but perhaps helped him to see what inner qualities he had that made him much more than mediocre. I often find that stories that take a little trouble over their characters, even in genres like this, are the ones that tend to be better received.
