literally. I've read a story having a literal diagnosed psychopath ml who never rapes the the mc. my fav bl has a murderer as the ml (tbf he has his reasons) and he never rapes the mc either. u can write red flags, black flags even, and toxic characters and stories without including rape. it's insane how people are so used to it now, and find it funny when others actually still have it in them to find it disgusting.

This is a fantasy, people find this appealing because it’s detached from reality. The characterization makes sense. The turnout of events given the genre makes sense. This is not lazy or cheap writing, at all.
You’re just sad angry the author didn’t follow your preferred mode of storytelling or characterization.
Also, I just don’t like being notified with ignorant self-absorbed opinions on media I enjoy. Hope this helps!

The thing I noticed tho is that based on their most recent tweet it seems like the author is very much purposely writing this chapter to depict something that's non-consensual (they said that they'd been worrying about this chapter since before the comic even started but ultimately chose to write it in this way). I don't know how this'll affect the story in the long run, but. Ah well if it makes you uncomfortable, then it makes you uncomfortable, yknow? All I'm saying that it was probably intentional
It's not funny that people are disappointed. You can have a red flag character who isn't a rapist. There are plenty of ways to be an awful person without sexual violence. Falling back on it is cheap, lazy writing.
