source: I used to be in Mosh long time ago. They are very much the assholiest of assholes, esp that leader of theirs - Fuho. They sent people spying in other groups and caused a huge drama and nearly got banned from Bato. I left them because of such behaviour of theirs, making enemy out of other groups. I was there when they sniped Hazama. They knew and did it anyway because they don't care about scanlation rules. They are the bottom of the barrel in scans when it comes to both ethics and quality.

Scanlation ethics go both ways. If a group takes on a project, the minimum standard is to actually update it. Anything less is not claiming but obstructing progress and wasting potential. This is precisely where Mosh falls short. They claim series like Qiang Jin Jiu, Catch Up, and The Snake Demon Wants to Flee, then leave them to languish for months. That isn’t protecting ethics; that’s holding series hostage. MGS, by contrast, may be blunt, but they approach projects with professionalism, respect for readers, and genuine care for both their work and the authors. They don’t strangle projects by sitting on them indefinitely, and that distinction speaks louder than any moral posturing.

Mosh scans is actually known to snipe peoples projects all the time. Also, everyone knows that they constantly abandon old projects just to pick up new ones then abandon those as well. As a common (lurking) reader, scanlation ethics is secondary to me.
However, if you are even a fan of Mosh at all, please do kindly feedback to them to maybe check on their team's competence. I feel like the "scans" community is already in tatters because all the MTL/scamtls out there. So, why isn't a supposedly "legit" scans group doing a story justice?

In their uploaded chapter, they said it doesn't always happen?
I know the description might not be done by them, but come on... make it make sense.
That means that either one is wrong...and a potentially story-altering kind of mistake.

If Mosh was aware of the rules on b a t o, they'd know that just creating a page with a notice is NOT a claim. Posting the first chapter is and MGS was first to post chapter 1 on both of those series. And yet, Mosh continued to work on them despite MGS's legitimate claim.
Also not sure where you get off commenting on MGS's treatment of their staff and micromanaging - MGS is always respectful and flexible when it comes to staff. They work as a team and help each other out whenever and where ever possible, because most of their staff have the skills to take on almost any role that's needed. That's precisely why they're able to get chapters posted consistently and at a high level of quality.
Also, it's rather hypocritical of you to be ragging on someone else for holding a grudge, when you just dug up history from a year ago....

scanlations exist for readers. if mosh only manages to put 1 or 2 chapters out every month or two, sometimes even later, then it's just plain hoarding and actually hurting the readers the most. no one wants to wait that long when another team is capable of releasing on a more consistent/quicker schedule with high-quality scan work as well.MGS prioritizes the their readers and that’s what matters most.
