Bruv, have you read the story? While yes, rape in fiction is less than savory and is not something I condone in real life.. but what did you expect? From what I see, Enzo is batshit crazy! He quite literally disabled someone for life in what, the 2nd chapter?? “Rivalry” my ass- they do NOT have any sort of relationship like that, and I fear that that has been made CLEAR.. Obviously, as things progress, we’ll see their “relationship” change, but right now, they’re basically enemies

The author literally said there was not going to be rape… also yes realistically it wouldn’t be shocking since he’s bad shit crazy but it’s also fictional so it doesn’t need to be realistic. There’s no need to add that to his character. A character can be crazy and not be a rapist not every psychopathic character is a rapist

If the author really did say that, then that’s a shame, but at the same time, have you seen the characters? Their personalities and preferences clash, they are enemies on the professional level, and the both of them are literally insane with zero amount of shame. While yes, this could’ve TECHNICALLY been avoided, but that’s only if the story was set up differently, but this is just how it went.
For the “it’s fiction, it doesn’t need to be realistic,” sure! You can say that! But if you’re trying to write a more serious drama plot with more than 10 chapters, you actually do in fact need the character interactions to feel real. This is because, as a reader, you WILL automatically be able to tell that the character is being “assassinated”, aka, the author mischaracterizing their own character. This sudden shift in behavior with no explanation in sight can feel awkward, confusing even, and that could work for some stories- but not this one. Again, there is a workaround for this, but for how Enzo’s character is portrayed specifically, both then and now, it is obvious that there is (currently) no intention to deviate from his psychopathic behavior.
Sorry for the ramble! I’m procrastinating write now (I’ve got a bunch of homework due tomorrow ) so I just wanted to write this for fun no hard feelings! Just my perspective on the matter. Hope to whoever reads this has a good day! ヾ(☆▽☆)

Yeah, I do see the characters like I said it doesn’t need to be realistic and it doesn’t need to be added to his character at all you can show a character is bad shit crazy without making him a rapist. It’s actually not hard. I don’t know how you guys don’t get tired of the same ass overused bland trope because how many times have we seen this get repeated again and again in yaoi??

Goodness god damn gracious my damn message didn’t save (either that or my WiFi is freaking out). Kill me now or so help me. Well I guess that means you’re saved from my seemingly endless rambling! I guess if you somehow wanted a summary here it is!
Insane yaoi character =/= rapist, and I know that, but the set up and general direction of the story does not allow for a moe gap, in which Enzo is more “caring” than he initially seems (at least for the time being). And contrary to your own belief, realistic character interactions have to be taken into account when writing a story. Is it fiction? Yes. But is it also a published and professional work? Also yes! This kind of stuff matter when your not writing a comedy, short story etc.
Rape in stories isn’t good, it IS overused and yes, I’m tired of reading it, but I’m not reading these types of stories for enrichment am I? It’s entertainment, and I read like what, 5-10 other manhwas/gas/huas everyday as they update? So I don’t really pay any mind to it.
i dunno why some play dumb cuz cmon now...we all saw it coming that it was gonna be grape
