I read somewhere that japan places a higher degree of importance in teacher roles. They take the "school is your second home" concept pretty seriously. So schools are allowed to put rules like not allowing students to take on part time jobs, or limiting what kind of out of school activities their students participate in. Including some that ban their students from dating, the penalty actually often being expulsion or at least suspension.
The reasoning behind it all seems to be that their main focus as a student is to study. So yeah....really annoying and kind of unimaginable for the rest of us

First of all if that teacher ever said that to me I would bring my parents and would've sued her for harassment towards her students because who's she to tell me whether I should break up with my bf or not or whether I should leave the school or not my only guardians are my parents and they've raised me , fed me so they are the ones who should be anything about me not my teacher and your still hung over an incident that happened lord knows when and your isolating other students from it
