I always assumed she was so skeptical of any kind act because of how she behaved before and was treated: envied, falsely accused frequently, betrayed, etc. Think of an abused pet, they’re likely to be cautious and skittish even to those with good intentions
the story could've been better but too much drama and illogical way of thinking ruins it for me. what do you means she's this smart and yet spouts nonsense like gifting a nice and cozy carriage to your wife after she dozed off is humiliating her? alright, before anyone say oh she's a bit of an idiot before then does expecting risali to hate her after she saved their family sound logical?? like the author just writes her character so inconsistently for the sake of some drama, it keeps throwing me off
